Day 12 – 31 Ways To Overcome Burnout
Do you use a diary or phone app to keep track of all the things you MUST do?
If not, why not?
It is so easy to forget important dates, meetings and events if you don’t keep all this information in one place.
If you don’t, you really need to start. I love a good old fashioned diary, especially pretty ones from KikkiK.
BUT, before you go madly filling in all the must-do’s, make it a habit to start your week by scheduling in some ME time!
No matter how jam-packed your week is, your health and wellbeing is more important that any to-do list.
Happy and healthy mumma’s = Happy families!
Start by making a list of things that you love to do, just for you.
A massage, paint your nails, catch up with a friend, paint, draw, read a book or flip through a glossy magazine. Whatever really helps you too relax and makes you feel happy. Do you have a dream to change jobs, start a business, travel? What steps can you make time for to help propel you towards achieving that dream. Right now this is all about YOU and making time for it.
Even if your schedule is packed full, start with 10 minutes a day. You can slowly increase that time as you get in to the hang of it, and discover how good it feels to have ‘me’ time.
Let everyone know that for those 10 minutes you are not to be interrupted. If you could use some serious pampering, find 1 hour a week just for that. If you were going to the doctor or dentist no-one would question it, this is for your good health so treat it the same way.
If you don’t make time for yourself, nobody will.
There is 31 awesome tips for helping you reclaim your life here.
