Goodbye 2012!

Goodbye 2012, a year of growth, facing demons, learning valuable lessons and moving forward!

The last few days of the year have seen me cleaning, clearing and organising, as I like to start a New Year with an air of freshness around the house.

This morning the Christmas tree and all the decorations came down, normally I never do this before the New Year, but this year I just wanted it all packed away and I am so glad I did, everything looks great.

This year has seen me face some demons of the past, and I have done things I would have preferred to ignore, but I am grateful I did all these as the path for the coming year is looking smoother.

I had an idea over Christmas that I needed to set up an office, and that is exactly what I did to my spare room. I normally blog, Facebook and write with my laptop on my lap, lounging on my bed. I want to take my blog and my writing to a new level in the New Year, so a professional feel has been created on my big desk, with everything close at hand.

The highlight of 2012 was definately my daughter making it through to Physie National’s and me having the opportunity to experience the wonder of the Opera House in Sydney. An awesome experience I will never forget. Hoping she will do the same next year.

Both girls brought home beautiful school reports this year. I am truly blessed to have 2 girls that do well at school and will have fantastic options ahead of them for their future careers.

My eldest is heading in to Year 12 and is in for a tough year. Getting in to medicine is no easy feat. I hope and prey that all of her hard work will pay off.

After almost 2 years of seperation, it is time for my ex and I to finalise arrangements and actually get divorced. The paperwork has been filled out and we simply need to have the signed off and sent. It is time for me to get out into the world and find a new man to share my life with. I have to idea where to start, but no doubt I will figure it out.

As my frozen slushie Strawberry Daiquiri is melting, I wish you all a safe and happy night, and an awesome 2013!

See you on the other side 🙂

    1. Hi Janet, best wishes to you for a wonderful year ahead, and yes sipping is going well, I grabbed one of those buckets of D mix at the Kmart after Christmas clearance, through in a little Bacardi and popped it in the freezer, so yum!
