Getting In Touch With Your Inner Creative For Peace And Calm

How often do you do something just for you?

Women are so good at giving of their time, energy and effort to assist others, but how often do we actually do something that is just for us?

I know I am guilty of this.

Being a single mum of two teens, I work, I am Chief Execuitve of Domestic Affairs, Managing Director of the Laundry Division, Head Chef and Senior Supervisor of Landscaping!

There is so little spare time and so little spare cash for me to indulge in my passions. Hidden away in cupboards is a huge collection of craft supplies that once were in use regularly. I might as well have shares in DMC with the amount of embroidery thread that sits in a beautiful custom made carrier that has not been opened for a long time.

Hands up if this sounds even just a little bit like you?

We all need to nurture ourselves, we all need to do something just for us, we all need to find calm and quiet from the hectic pace we move at everyday.

I have found the perfect solution, and one of you wonderful women is going to win the opportunity to take part in a journey to your inner calm and creative!

SOUL COMFORT……Starts next week!

To the tired, the exhausted, the overstretched…here’s an invitation…

Life can be simple.

What if we celebrated the brave act of….taking a break?

What if simplicity, comfort, and quiet were the goal?

What if there really was a way to quiet the chatter in our minds and let us recharge our body & soul?

And what if it was fun, too?

Introducing a new eCourse . . .

Soul Comfort

Soul Comfort is a fresh new concept using art and journaling as a means to relax and comfort yourself and to get grounded while dealing with the craziness of every-day living.

This course if full of beautiful projects to fuel your creativity in very simple and easy ways that are meditational and relaxing , beautiful comforting things that will have your soul infused into them so that you want to keep them forever.

Melody (course creator and teacher) says, “I want to teach you some new habits of creativity mixed with simplicity that I have learned over the years. Being a recovering hoarder of supplies and techniques, this is really a new way to give yourself permission to do things simply but beautifully.

One of the most wonderful things about this course is that everything fits into one fabric tote bag . . . I wanted to create a whole course where all of the supplies fit into a tiny space so that you could take it everywhere you go…so that you could do it sitting on your bed, on your couch, with your family, do it with your children, in the car, wherever your day takes you. It’s incredible. This has changed my life. This has been something that I have used on my own and I can’t wait to share it with you.”

You can count on this class to be . . .

  • enlightening, enjoyable, fun, & simple
  • customizable with many choices to fit your exact style
  • interactive, encouraging, and supportive with a private community on Facebook and weekly live chats
  • a beautiful experience that will help you relax, simplify, and enjoy your life
  • a place to learn simple new ways to journal, plus the  ”Brave Girl” way to use stitching and such to create both beautiful things you’ll love AND peaceful relaxing moments
  • a place to learn exactly what nourishes YOUR body and soul, and how to fit comforting rituals into your day
  • something that you can finish without feeling overwhelmed
  • produced with the level of caring and  excellence and attention to detail that Brave Girls Club is known for.

We’ve worked to narrow down things to quench the yearning of your soul…to be able to be creative but also to be sensitive to the mess that it makes and the time that it takes as well as the brain space it takes for complicated tools and  techniques. We will teach you fun ways to make beautiful things while relaxing yourself . . .and we’ll be participating in the class right along with you.

  • This will be relaxing, fun, and simple
  • You’ll be able to take it along with you, everywhere you go
  • Instead of overwhelming you with one  more thing to stress out about, this eCourse will help you relax, enjoy, and feel comfort and peace no matter what else is going on in your life.

It is YOUR time for some Soul Comfort. Come join us!

    1. I agree, Em. I figure we will get me time when the kids are a little less dependent. My husband is always saying go do something for yourself. Now, right now. Go. And by the time, ive found something or someone to catch up with, the baby is ready fornhis next feed. Our time will come. Great giveaway. XX

  1. I would LOVE to do this course because I am a huge fan of Brave girls club and have been for many years now. I also have had am extremely difficult year which would make this prize extra special to me. I spent 12 weeks this summer in a trauma treatment centre due to longstanding childhood abuse. I suffer from depression, anxiety and post traumatic stress disorder. The transition home from this hospital has been difficult and I think that this course would help me with that and over the holiday season as I have little family. This course would also help promote some of the skills I learned in the trauma centre like self care and art therapy. I think it would give something positive to do with my days and I could incorporate in into the work I am doing with my therapist. Winning this course would be such a boost for me and working with Melody is always so inspiring. Thank you so much for this opportunity!!

  2. Soul Comfort= a moment when I feel loved, protected, and at peace. Peace is seriously lacking right now. I would want to take this class to learn how to find a place of peace and rest among all the turmoil around me. Thank you for the opportunity to take this class. Winning this class would be the only way I could take it right now.

  3. I used to try, really try to have some Me time at least every day. Now that I’m back at work three days a week and with my three year old and bub the remainder of the week, I’m finding it hard to find Me time. There just is no time. I need all the help I can get to learn how to relax, simplify and enjoy life. And, if I won I’d definitely share the results and my insights with everyone 🙂

  4. I need this class for multiple personal reasons that are too sad to share on the interwebs. I want to take this class because just reading about it is beautiful, peaceful, and healing.

  5. Cool! To be honest my business is fulfilling my creativity and my “me
time”. Everything about it makes me smile and (even though it exhausts me at times) it makes me feel like ME. I guess I’m really lucky in that regard.

  6. Oh gosh sounds absolutely like a great course. I need to do something like this because right now I feel like a frazzled mess pulled in a thousand directions. I need to find a calm centre every now and then to regroup, regather and just breathe.

  7. When I think of Soul Comfort, I realize that it has only been in terms of something that someone else needed and it was my responsibility and my job to provide it to them (in family and in my career). As an Oncology Nurse I have always seen the need to provide to my patients and families comfort in the most devastating times of their lives…through their diagnosis, treatment and other heartbreaking times they struggle with.
I have recently lost my job of 20 years and I feel so lost…so broken and unsure of what to do.
With the help of very special friends in my life and special Brave Girl Sisters I have realized that what I really need is Soul Comfort of my own. I have given enough and fed enough souls for now without having my own soul fed.

You can only give what you have.
It is the time right now for me to feed my soul before I can journey on to what it is meant for me next. Thank you for providing this opportunity to those that need it most….good luck Braves and hope to meet you in Soul Comfort.

  8. I really need to take some time for just me and be creative. Learning some new techniques for projects is not only fun, but useful for holiday gifts. Learning some new techniques to take time in life to re-connect and re-awaken my awareness that I matter too, would be priceless. Thank you very much for the opportunity.

  9. Thanks for the chance to win. I love BG classes. My best friend who lives 12 hrs away and I get together virtually and have restored mind and body taken art school flowers working on wings and someday hope to come to the ranch. Until then being a woman of a particular age as they say I crave peace calm and a comforted soul. Dealing with severe health problems I think the soul is key to healthier body

  10. Thanks for the opportunity. My husband is taking me on a date shortly. I consider this serious me time. This date has been a long time coming.. like 6 years. I know right? We might even sit in the back row of the cinema and have a sneaky pash..

  11. We as women have a difficult time with self care because we are naturally the nurturers. We take care of everyone else but ourselves and even feel guilty when taking time and doing something for ourselves. We end up finding ourselves lost, tired and depleted, unable to give our best to ourselves and those we love. So taking this course would help me in getting down to the “soul comfort” of nurturing my own soul. I’m hoping this course can bring a calmness and peace that is so desired in my life.

  12. I am exhausted and spent of my soul! I am hoping this will teach me to take time out for me so I can give my best to those I love so dearly!!
    Thank you!

  13. I have always naturally felt the need to take care of my family first. I was an only child, took care of my parents as they aged, took care of my 6 children as a single parent. Taking care of myself is very foreign concept to me, even now as a senior person. Life is chaotic, even now, having peace and calm in my life would be a Comfort to my Soul. I think this holiday season will be no different unless I learn a way to simplify and create calm in my life.
    Thank you for this opportunity!

  14. I would love to win this course , I have just recently found the brave girls club and have aready noticed a difference in myself by just reading the daily truths, can only imaginge what the course could do for my soul, thanks for the opportunity , love your blog Thanks Jane

  15. Honestly I have had a rough couple of years of many things and I have really forgotten how to take care of me. Around the holidays it gets worse, as family usually calls a few days before saying we are coming to visit. This ends up sending me into a tail spin and who gets forgotten? Me, so I want to change that.

  16. I would love the chance to experience the creativity in a community setting. The portability of the class and supplies is a huge bonus for a daily on the go life.

  17. Oh I know what u mean about hectic. Sometimes I can’t stop my chattering mind and it feels like it has been increasing as I take more strides into the unknown territory if staring my new business, just my and my little poppet. Soul comfort is what I need. I thought I had the tools but sometimes they need replacing x

  18. Soul Comfort I am hoping will help me find some personaly peace. I’m always do all I can to please others and I need to put myself first. I need to relax, and simplify with out all the guilt.

    Thank you

  19. It’s time for some rest and peace in my life. I need to rejuvenate so I can be a better wife and mother. I know Melody’s classes are life changing. It’s time…

  20. After a very difficult year…it’s time to move out of grief and into the next phase of healing. The words Soul Comfort sound to me like a place I’d like to be within right now.

  21. I would love to to take part in soul comfort because my soul is aching for comfort and peace. I have tattered and torn from grief and pain too long. My desire is to learn how to live life, rather than just endure life. True, life gives us challenges and trials. We need them and grown from them. But, I also need to learn how to get unstuck from being trapped for so long.

  22. Hi there! Someone in my Facebook group shared this site with us
