BATHTIME BLISS

Place 1 cup of rock salt or epsom salt into a glass or metal bowl. Add 10 drops of pure essential oil and 1 drop of food colouring (if you have the mini concentrate colours) add some more if you have the larger but more diluted bottles. Mix well. Place into a cellophane bag or pretty glass jar and seal well. Add a pretty tag and some ribbon.

FIZZY BATH FUN

Use a sieve to add 1/2 cup of bicarb soda, 1/4 cup citric acid and 1/4 cup of cornflour into a glass or metal bowl. Stir until combined. Add a drop of food colouring and 10 drops of pure essential oil. Work quickly so that mixture does not start to fizz. Place into a cellophane bag or jar and seal well.

FABULOUS FOOT SOAK

Mix 2 tablespoons of epsom salts with 6 drops of pure essential oil. Place this mix into a cellophane bag and add a small bag of marbles. This mix not only helps your body release toxins but provides a gentle massage at the same time.

BOMBS AWAY

Sift together 1 cup of bicarb soda, 1/2 cup of corn flour and 1/4 cup of citric acid. Add 20 drops of pure essential oils and a drop of food colouring. Mix gently until combine. Using a spray bottle, mist the mixture until it is just damp enough to bind together. Place into iceblock moulds, (silicone ones work best for easy release). Leave for at least 30 minutes to set. Place in a cellophone bag and then in a pretty gift box.

ESSENTIAL OILS TO USE

Lavender for stressed mummies that need to relax

Lemon for mummies who have the sniffles or sinus problems

Mandarin/Tangerine/Grapefruit are all uplifting and known as happy oils

Geranium or Jasmine to help mum connect to the love around and within.

Or if scenty treats are not for your mum, bake some cupcakes or biscuits and print off some prettiness to make them look spectacular.

Do you make Mothers day goodies or do you always buy yours?
