Homemade Ice Blocks – A Healthy Summer Treat!

Homemade ice blocks are quick and easy to make. With the weather warming up, stock up your freezer with these goodies. The best thing about homemade ice blocks is you know exactly what goes in them and they will not contain any nasty additives.

Full of fruity goodness, they are great way to encourage children to eat more fruit!

You can buy ice block moulds at the supermarket or your local discount store, and you can re-use them over and over again. They are a great value addition to your kitchen.  You can also use small plastic throw away cups if you want to make large quantites for a party.

  1. Great idea, I bought a mould the other week in anticipation of summer. I’ll have to get it out, first one sounds like it should be in my hand now!

  2. Ripper thanks for these ideas. I’ve bought the moulds ready to go for Summer, just needed the inspiration which I found here today! Ta 🙂

  3. Gosh they all sound so very yummy! We have the Ice-Block Moulds in our Cupboard but I forget to use them – will have to make some up with the smoothies that we have each morning 🙂

  4. Thank you for the reminder.
I have done these type of things previously and it has been loved, but I seem to keep falling in to lazy traps. Why when this is so easy?
It is time to get back in to summer joy right!
