Aroma-Therapy Thursday – How To Make Your Own Natural Toothpaste

Making your own toothpaste is simple and this recipe is a very effective formula that will leave your mouth feeling super clean.

Completely free of chemicals, this is a great paste too use for all ages. Make a small batch at a time and store in a small glass jar (a recycled baby food jar is perfect as they seal well).

NATURAL TOOTHPASTE

In a small glass jar place…

2 Teaspoons Bicarbonate Soda

2 Teaspoons of finely ground Salt

4 drops of Peppermint Pure Essential Oil, adding 1 drop at a time and shaking well after each addition.

HOW TO USE

Dip a dessert spoon into the powder and place about 1/2 teaspoon quantity onto the spoon. Add a couple of drops of water onto the powder and use your toothbrush to combine into a paste.

Use the paste in the normal manner to brush your teeth and rinse well after use. Rinse the dessert spoon and place in a spare toothbrush slot to dry.

It is not recommended that you mix water with all the paste at once, as the salt will dissolve and the paste will loose it’s effectiveness.
