  1. Awesome list – i think i consume most of these foods / drinks but in low quantities – i have to drink more green tea .. and lemon juice. I love almonds though – i eat hundreds of them a week, perhaps that’s why my skin isn’t doing too bad.
    Thanks for the prompt, kimx

    1. Have been on a bit of an almond binge lately, just have to try and avoid the nuts that have become marzipan, as I am truly addicted to the stuff. Fortunately a trip to Aldi is about the only way I can get my fix, and as they are all a little out of the way, I am slightly saved!

  2. Great info – didnt know about the almonds, so will happily add then to my diet! My biggest problem is the dark marks under my eyes – you know the ones they call ‘mask of pregnancy’ – so they must be hormone related, but nothing I do gets rid of them. I have had several pregnancies, that have ended in the first trimester, but with each pregnancy, they get darker and stay dark even when I’ve lost it. Any suggestions would be appreciated as its a very visual reminder to me of what’s happening and I would prefer it was less obvious đŸ™‚

    Hello from #teamIBOT

    1. Hi BM,
Not a nice reminder that you see every day you look in the mirror. Dark circles are usually caused by two things. One of them is poor kidney function, make sure you drink lot’s of filtered water and take celery and juniper tablets to help cleanse the kidneys. Iron deficiency is the other main cause, so keep an eye on what you eat to up your iron intake or take a supplement to boost your levels. The old wives tale of teabags can also be very helpful, but you need to do it everyday for at least two weeks. Make a cup of tea with two bags, allow them to cool then lie down for 20 minutes with them covering your eyes. Good luck and I had two miscarriages before I was blessed with two gorgeous girls, so fingers crossed that you have success in the future.

  3. Yes to all of these foods except the fish (blechhhh) but that’s what fish oil tablets are for I guess.

I still get zits at the ripe old age of 46, my skin is quite oily, but the upside is I don’t have wrinkles and all that oil keeps me young looking!

    1. Hi Janet,

At 48 I still have very oily skin, and have to wash my hair everyday or I look like a walking oil well, but same, not to many wrinkles which is nice!

  4. Red grapes, dark chocolate, apple, beans, berries etc. are powerhouse of anti-oxidents that can help protect the skin from premature ageing that can be caused from enviromental influences. Try to eat more and more fruits in the summer to protect your skin from environmnet.
