Eat Street Market Hamilton – A Great Night Out In Brisbane

I have heard about it, seen pictures of it, but never actually visited Eat Street Market in Hamilton, silly me!

Instead of just talking about it, we finally got to experience this unique market and we will be back.

Saturday was a lovely balmy Brisbane evening and after having an early dinner, we decided to check out Eat Street for dessert.

Next time we visit we will go for dinner. There is just soooo much to pick from. Whatever style of food you enjoy the most you will find it at Eat Street, and you will also see a few things that you have never seen before. Expect to be mind-boggled.

Eat Street Market Churro

We found dessert, a yummy Churro!

And more dessert, gorgeous homemade sweets from New Farm Confectionary. Marshmallow with fresh lime juice is awesome, but our favourite was the delicious fruit drops that actually have fresh fruit juice in them…Kiwi fruit and Passionfruit are devine.

Even your puppy can have dessert, special cupcakes made just for canine family members.

Even though a visit to Eat Street Market is all about food, we did find a few other cute finds to mix up the night.

Smelly Buttons will melt away in a burner and have your home smelling totally delicious!

Frozen cocktails always get a YES from me. ‘Pussy Galore’ was White Run, Cointreau and Raspberries, very very tasty.

Eat Street Markets costs $2.o0 to get in and is on Friday and Saturday from 4 – 10pm, on Macarthur Avenue in Hamilton, right next door to Portside.

Be prepared for big traffic, ask the parking fairies to help you find a spot and you will be sharing your night with 100’s of others. The atmosphere is awesome, live music accompanies your wandering and you will leave with a very full belly. If it’s raining, leave it for another night, as almost all of it is open air.

Take plenty of cash and if you need more, the ATM’s dotted around the place, will help you out.

Families, the young and everyone inbetween will find something that appeals. From humble starts as shipping containters, all these eateries and stores have a new home each weekend, and you really should experience it.

We will be back!
