An Easy Way To Organise Your Bathroom

Bathrooms are home to the biggest collection of little things and keeping them tidy and accessable can be challenging.

Who had the bright idea to put a cavenous cupboard in a bathroom that allows one level of supplies and then room for lot’s of fresh air and not much else?

If you are one of the lucky ones, your cupboard might at least have an extra shelf to make storage more practical, but I bet that most of you don’t!

I do need to confess that I have a love of health and beauty products, and no doubt have way to many. But until beautyholics anonymous sets up office in Brisbane, my collection will grow.

Trying new products is a joyful experience for me, just give me little samples of new goodies and I am in heaven.

The biggest problem is how to keep all this neat and tidy, otherwise I only seem to use what ever is on top of the pile. The other items hidden down below and eventually are way past their use-by date and are just seperated, gooey jars of yuk!

Clever bathroom storage

This chest of drawers on casters is the best discount shop purchase I have ever made!

This little beauty has been with me for quite a while and lived in a few homes and I have always found space for it.

With 5 drawers each with their assigned contents, I know which drawer to go to for a particular purpose.

1. All things hair – hair clips, hair ties, bobby pins, brushes, combs and disposable razors (I did say all things hair) 🙂

2. All things face – tubs, tubes and pots of moisturisers, eye treatments, masks and scrubs.

3. All things body – small sized deodorants, soaps, gels, scrubs and moisturisers.

4. Cleansing wipes – yes, they need their own drawer. I have a few brands that I like, including pre-moistened ones, and others that you moisten and then use.

5. Personal hygiene – I don’t need sanitary products anymore (nothing like a little hysterectomy to fix that issue) but I keep supplies on hand for my girls as they have a habit of reminding me to stock up when they have NONE left.

You can make use of the drawers in any way that suits you, but keep one drawer for each collection of items, as going through every drawer to find something is a nuisance and time wasting.
