Reduce Inflammation With This Super Juice Recipe

Inflammation can occur in our bodies for a myriad of reasons and no matter why you are experiencing it, taking Ibuprofen is not the only way to find relief.

When we injure ourselves or are under attack from nasty little invaders, inflammation is our body’s way of providing protection and taking action to help us heal. By creating swelling, your body adds extra padding around the area concerned to help ensure that it is less susceptible to further damage. All very clever, but also very painful!

Acidity build up caused from a diet high in processed foods and sugars can be a trigger,  stress and holding on to anger can manifest in a sore neck and shoulders, and the list goes on.

Fortunately Mother Nature has provided some wonderful foods that can help reduce inflammation and including them in your diet on a regular basis can have the most soothing effect.

One of the most potent anti-inflammatory foods is pawpaw and unfortunately for me, it is one fruit I cannot stand! The smell alone sends me running for fresh air.

BUT in an effort to reduce the annoying discomfort that I often experience in my shoulders (yes I do tend to carry the weight of the world on my shoulders) and eating a bowl of pawpaw was not going to be an option I decided to experiment with juicing solutions that would help hide the pawpaw behind other goodness and would allow me to add some other powerful anti-inflammatory ingredients.

INGREDIENTS

1/4 of a pawpaw peeled, seeded and diced

1 can of cold coconut water

small handful of frozen berries

1/2 teaspoon of ginger powder or grated fresh ginger

1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder

1/2 lemon juiced.

Simply add everything into your blender and whiz until combined.

Drink immediately!

I always notice a big difference the next day when I make this recipe AND I can’t taste the pawpaw…..totally winning!
