There are so many lip balms and lip sticks that promise the world, but many do not provide anything more than a little instant relief, and don’t provide long term help.

With two simple ingredients that are probably sitting in your kitchen cupboard right now, beautiful lips are only 5 minutes away!

STEP 1 – Natural Lips Scrub

Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate!

The first step to beautiful smooth lips is to get rid of all of that dead and dry skin cells that are sitting on your lips and stopping whatever lip balm you are using from actually doing it’s job. The dead cells create a barrier that cannot be penetrated.

This easy recipe works beautifully without the use of any chemicals.

Macro Organic Virgin Coconut Oil

Macro Organic Virgin Coconut Oil available from Woolworths or Woolworths Online

COMBINE – 1 teaspoon of sugar with 1/2 teaspoon Virgin Coconut Oil in a small bowl.

Moisten your lips with a little warm water. Apply the scrub to your lips and use small round movements with your finger tips.

Rinse off with warm water. Pat dry. Do this once a week and your lips will always feel smooth and soft.

Step 2 – Everyday Lip Balm

Place a spoonful of Virgin Coconut Oil into a small travel sized container. Use this instead of lip balm everyday as often as required.

Coconut Oil is a superfood that is full of medium-chain fatty acids that are healthy fats. It is fabulous to use in cooking, but is a fabulous moisturiser that helps to keep connective tissue supple and strong.

You can also use Coconut Oil as a hair mask to moisturise your hair, use it on your skin in place of body lotion and too remove makeup.

Grab an extra jar and keep it in the bathroom for luscious soft skin.

Are you addicted to Coconut Oil like I am?
